My Decade of Turning 50

Does the world really need another baby boomer talking about being 50?

The perfect gift for someone turning 50?

November 16th, 2007 · 6 Comments

I mentioned in an earlier post that my brother, according to the family grapevine, was planning to send me a gift at work, something hideous. Well, it arrived today — a funeral arrangement. (That’s me with it at left. Sigh)

Sick? Yes. Inspired? Perhaps? Embarrassing? For sure. Would I recommend it as a gift for someone turning 50 years old? Only if you are a big brother.

That was me, Kris, who sent the comment yesterday. Hope you had a wonderful birthday. I was looking for the post-birthday report.
See you Monday. I am taking lots of cold medicine and watching movies all weekend.

Hi John, the picture of you and the funeral arrangement is great! Thanks for posting it. I am turning 50 in a couple of weeks, and your blog is making me laugh!
