I wonder what it would be like to be turning 50 years old on Halloween? With all the attention to Halloween these days, it could be one fun party. (I was watching a news report tonight on a costume contest at a local “active adult” community, and the couple who won were dressed as sheep, like the ones in the Sealy bed commercial. It was bizarre.)
It might be fun to do a costume party for your 50th birthday, regardless of the date. We could all come as younger versions of ourselves. Or maybe as our favorite year (I was a fan of 1969 — Mets won World Series, I turned 12, and I thought the Mets would always win and that everything would be as simple and intense and fun as it was that year. Now I’m blogging instead of watching the baseball playoffs and looking forward to watching Desperate Housewives on the DVR. Sigh.)
ABC — that’s here in the photo — and I went to SeaWorld Orlando’s “Spooktacular” this weekend. Lots of fun. She went as a pop star. I went as a tourist.
