While trolling Google for “turning 50 humor” sites, I came upon one with birthday tips and quotes that I hadn’t noticed in the past. One, attributed to George Orwell, says, “At age 50, everyone has the face he deserves.”
Of course, wasn’t it Joan Rivers who said looking 50 is great…when you’re 60.
One good way to find these turning 50 quotes for your roast is this Google search.

Ok, they are not quotes, but here are some great but serious poems about aging. You might want to make this a post. I know how you love poetry….
Yeats was obsessed with aging.

My poetry knowledge begins and ends at “I think that I shall never see/a poem as lovely as a tree”…
