GrowingBolder.com: Social networking for boomers

A little self-promotion for my day job, as senior editor for online news for OrlandoSentinel.com — we ran an article this weekend about GrowingBolder.com, a soon-to-launch social networking web site for baby boomers. The plans are for it to start in the Central Florida market, but go nationwide. Social networking is a big thing on the Internet, but often associated more with teens and twentysomethings than boomers. There are other such boomer sites, and talk of AARP getting into this business. With 78 million boomers, and the growth of social networking, it’s easy to understand the interest. So best wishes to them. (Disclosure: A while back, one of GrowingBolder.com’s founders stopped by to talk with my former boss about all things Web.)
