I’ve come to like July 4th as one of my favorite holidays. We have an old-fashioned parade — old cars, horses, cops on motorcycles, candy thrown out to kids. Later, fireworks over the Lake — though this being Florida, it’s been washed out at times. I don’t know if these things mean more to me because I am turning 50, or just because I am learning to appreciate simple things as I get older.

I’ve always liked simple things. Does that make me old before my time!?

Rhea, Perhaps it’s not age, but gender. In most things, I’ve found women get it sooner than men. (Wait, then it is an age thing, right?) JC
