It arrived today. AARP found me — as it does almost all of us turning 50. For just $12.50 a year, AARP says it can help me “make the most of life over 50.” Funny thing is that AARP also found me in my year of turning 49 — one of these arrived last year as well. Maybe they wanted to give my mind a chance to adjust. (It hasn’t.)
AARP has found me…AAGGGHHHH!!!!

I am 62 so I really don’t qualify as a Baby Boomer but then I started school a year late so I grew up with boomers, am a Dylan/ Rolling Stone fan etc. Anyway I have ignored AARP for 12 years. But I did get a kick out of it when the sent me a card with the name Muriel J. Fax. They had found my listed address under my “Fax” phone number. I kept it.

That’s good, about the “Fax,” though it makes me wonder something, whether the next generation will even know what a fax is? JC
