News slows about Julia Campbell, but not memories

UPDATE: Julia’s sister is quoted in this article late today, saying family is not outraged by the killing and plans to celebrate Julia’s life.

Just checked around this morning for any updates in Julia Campbell’s murder. Some sites are saying police in the Philippines have a suspect identified but not in custody, which sounds a bit like the news from yesterday. (One good spot to keep up is the From the Boondocks blog, which seems to be updated often.) There was an updated release on the Peace Corps site, but it doesn’t add much new. No more news on a memorial or services yet, though one article I saw said friends in NYC planned something in “next few days.” Meanwhile I’ve heard from several people who knew Julia well in recent years, which has been good to hear their stories and share their sorrow.
